Pathein
Pathein is the capital city of Ayarwaddy division and situated 190 Km of Yangon. It is an important port of the ferry boats servicing passengers and cargos between Yangon and the Northern and Eastern parts of Myanmar. It is also the gateway to Chaung Tha and Ngwe Saung beaches. There are some important religious places like Shwe Mokhtaw Pagoda in downtown, Lay Kyune Mannaung Phaung Daw Oo Temple and Maw Tin Sun Pagoda. Pathein is famous for “Pathein Halwar” a special snack and Pathein Umbrella.
