Pindaya
Pindaya is a famous small town 45 Km North of Kalaw and famous for its Cave (Pindaya cave) in which thousands of centuries old Buddha images are seated. The images are of different sizes, carved in the face of rock and some deposited in niches in the walls. The road to Pindaya from Kalaw (38 Km) passes through a country side of magnificent scenic beauty is similar to the road to Switzerland, as said by foreigners. Traditional bamboo hats and umbrella are available in Pindaya.
