Thanbyuzayat
Thanbyuzayat located about 34 km south of Mawlamyine a place where an Allied War Memorial cemetery lies for the prisoners who lost their lives in World War II and the construction of the famous Death Railway across the River Kwai.
Other interesting sites are Kyaikthalan Pagoda. Caves of Kawgoon and Payon are famous for its countless Buddha images stalagmites and stalactites. Mawlamyine has beautiful scenes around and temperate climate. It is an attractive and tropical town with a stupa capped hills on one side and the sea on the others.
